Contrary to popular belief, internet search
engines do not actually "search the internet"!

Instead, search engines search their own
records of web sites who have submitted
their pages to them.

To suggest that the internet can be found in
a search engine would be like trying to find
a complete list of products for sale in a
Kmart catalogue. The catalogue would
need to be hundreds of pages.

Less than 10% of web sites can be found
in web browsers (typically around 1 or 2%).

However, with over a million new web sites
appearing each month, there should be
more than enough web sites to keep you busy.

Let us know if any of these links are broken, or if you have any major search engines to add.
